Source: Explorart LLC Famed composer and filmmaker Nascuy Linares commissioned to write White Song's original score. Thursday, February 24, 2005. Venezuelan composer will work with director Juan Carlos Lopez Duran in the development of the film musical score. ANN ARBOR, Mich., February 24, 2005. Established film and television composer and filmmaker Nascuy Linares has begun work on the original score for Explorart Film’s feature ‘White Song’. The composer has agreed to create the music for the entire film. “We are excited to work with Nascuy in this new project. His music is always able to project deeply into each listener. Having him on our team guarantees that the music will be as poignant and captivating as the images and story of this wonderful film,” said Juan Carlos Lopes Duran, the film's producer and director. “Once again we move one step closer to making such an ambitious project a reality." Nascuy was commissioned to compose the theme song for all upcoming trailers. A clip of the original theme is available in streaming audio through the film’s Website at http://whitesong.explorart.com. He will then collaborate with the director throughout the project in the creation of the film score. Nascuy Linares is an award winning composer and performer. He has a prolific career as composer, arranger and musician for film, television and advertising. His original compositions have garnered more than 7 international awards. His original scores have been included in numerous acclaimed films including “Un Guento Para Manos Agrietadas” (Montreal Film Festival Best Short 2000) , “A House with a view of the Sea” (in collaboration with Canadian recording artist Loreena McKennitt), and "One Life and Two Trails” (Montreal Film Festival Official Selection). He has been a fellow at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, leads the experimental Latin music ensemble "Bilongo", and is an accomplished guitar and Cuban Tres player..
