Source: Explorart LLC Explorart Films “Parks, Souls, and Voices” wins 1st National Competition of Independent Radio and Television Production. The landmark television series explores the deepest regions of some of South America’s most beautiful national parks. ANN ARBOR, Mich., October 25, 2005. Explorart Films announced today that the series proposal “Parks, Souls, and Voices” has won the first National Competition of Independent Radio and Television Production granted by the Venezuelan Ministry of Communication and Information. The competition included more than 350 entries. Only 10 finalists received the coveted award. The ministry of Communication and Information will finance the production of the pilot episode for Explorart’s new series. “We are honored to receive such an exciting and prestigious award. We are glad that the jury found our series as exciting and promising as we did. This is a beautiful concept that can be exported and applied throughout the world,” said Juan Carlos Lopez Duran, Explorart’s President and the series’ creator. The series presents a spiritual journey through South America’s most beautiful national parks and natural monuments. The series travels through mountains, valleys, oceans, jungles, and deserts, as the land, its animals, and flora have a powerful and emotional dialogue with a 12-year-old child. The documentary will be produced by Explorart Films in 2006. The 1st season of the series will consist of 12 episodes filmed in High Definition. The first episode explores “Autana,” an astonishing natural monument located deep inside one of the most remote regions of the Amazon jungle. The Autana is an impressive vertical rock formation that climbs 4,000 feet above the floor of the Amazon basin. Throughout history, the Autana has had a significant role in the life and beliefs of the local people and the episode will explore the mystic relation between nature and its inhabitants.
